
Manager, Enterprise and ESG Risk - 12 months fixed term contract

- Lead the localisation (fit for purpose locally) and implementation of the ING Group ESG Risk Framework, including the expansion from an initial focus on climate risks to wider ESG risks.
- Assist in the development, execution and ongoing enhancement of key ERM processes that support the identification and management of risks - ensure alignment with underlying frameworks and policies across Risk and where relevant, the ING Group.
- Support ongoing refinements and updates to key risk infrastructure components – Risk Management Approach, Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Governance artefacts
- Collaborate across line 2 and line 1 Risk Management to ensure alignment and effective risk management across the frameworks
- Facilitate proactive risk management by providing insights from ERM processes to design measures to navigate risks and emerging trends that impacts the Bank’s strategy
- Manage ad-hoc risk projects that develop and mature the Bank’s risk management capability and processes, including responding to prudential changes
- Execute (emerging) risk identification and assess their impact on the overall strategy of the bank.
- Contribute to thematic reviews or deep dives into emerging risks to assess materiality and potential impact in ING.
- Experience maintaining frameworks, drafting policies, procedures, and developing and implementing new processes and systems
- Knowledge of specific prudential requirements including CPS220 and CPG229 – would be regarded as highly advantageous
- Ability to connect qualitative/subjective data sources to draw themes and insights
- Minimum 5-7 years practical experience in a risk and compliance function in the financial services industry combining multiple risk classes
- Proven experience in creating high quality management information
- Analytical skills – ability to proactively identify and diagnose risk related issues quickly and provide business-oriented solutions
- Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders across all levels of management (both internally and externally), make recommendations and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
