Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.What you'll be doing in this roleAs a Carer for Hotel services support, you'll provide quality, timely and effective hotel services such as catering, cleaning, and laundry to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life. Uniting seeks Care Workers - Hotel Services to work at Uniting St Andrews in Tamworth on a casual basis.Join one of Australia's leading residential aged care service providers for a career filled with heart and purpose. We'd love to hear from you.Your care work may include:
  • Providing support with household activities such as catering and cleaning making their dignity and independence a top priority
  • Paying attention to personal safety and risk management for you and our residents by using appropriate manual handling techniques and food safety
  • Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
Who we're looking for
  • Ideally, you'll have a Certificate II in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you get there.
  • You'll have previous experience in similar position (catering / kitchen-hand or cleaning) or any other community care
  • You'll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
