The Learning Facilitator/Lecturer is responsible for preparing, delivering and assessing subjects as allocated. Lecturers must work to ensure students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes/competencies and satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks. Lecturers must participate in course review initiatives, including validation and moderation activities and are required to be available to provide student support outside of timetabled class hours.Day-to-day accountabilities:Design, prepare and develop teaching materials , supplementing where neededProduce assessment tools, set and grade assessmentsDeliver ELICOS and review at regular intervalsIdentify students “at risk” and refer for counsellingRefer students to pastoral support mechanisms for assistance where appropriateMark student attendance at each sessionTo read more about the role please click here toWho you are
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Bachelor degree and Post Graduate TESOL qualification (or equivalent as deemed by DoS) meeting NEAS minimum requirements
  • Up to date knowledge of significant developments in ELICOS theory and practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi)
