- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, acting as the first point of contact for production incidents and requests, ensuring 24/7 coverage within the location.
- Oversee the timely reporting and resolution of infrastructure outages and service failures, collaborating with vendors and site support teams to implement effective solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance internal and support knowledge bases.
- Engage with stakeholders to keep the domain strategy relevant and up to date.
- Foster an effective customer service culture within the team.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
- Manage contractors for works within the operational area.
- Strong commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Proven leadership experience in frontline teams or service desk functions.
- Solid knowledge of workstation and server-based technologies.
- Familiarity with Cisco and networking technologies.
- Sound understanding of IT security principles.
- Proficiency with network management systems.
- Working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes, as well as experience with ServiceNow.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Several years' experience in computer systems engineering or a broader IT domain.
- Experience in mining operational technologies will be highly regarded.
