We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. The hotel features 190 rooms and apartments, a fully equipped conference centre, restaurant and bar.We are looking for an energetic and reliable Houseperson to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will support the housekeeping team so that we always provide a well-presented space for our guests. With our supportive and welcoming team, this role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Melbourne, and to join the Accor group of hotels.This is a full-time role, generally Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work. The role requires physical work including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, using stairs and ramps. Employed under the Hospitality Industry award, your base hourly rate will be $25.85. You must have working rights in Australia and be eligible to work 38 hours per week to be considered.Job Description

Ensure all housekeeping pantries are fully stocked with guest amenities
Ensure towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
Report maintenance requirements.
Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed
Cleaning of public area spaces

Qualifications

Available to work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday, with shifts usually starting at 8am
Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
Attention to detail, taking pride in the presentation of the hotel
Able to work in a physically demanding role which includes lifting and carrying, moving trolleys and using stairs
Experience in housekeeping is preferred, and hotel experience is an advantage
As this is a full time position, you must have current full time working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
