Requisition ID: REQ598892About the RoleThe Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services and Clinical Trials is based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH), and works within the Cancer Services Pharmacy and the Investigative Drugs (Clinical Trials) Pharmacy under the CRGH Pharmacy Department. CRGH is a recognised leader in clinical trials and research, and the progressive application of evidence-based cancer therapies. As part of the Sydney Local Health District, the hospital supports a vibrant and growing cancer service, with strong links to local and international research networks. You'll be part of a dynamic team committed to advancing cancer care through innovation, collaboration, and clinical excellence in a state-of-the-art facility.As the Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services and Clinical Trials, you will hold a key leadership position at the intersection of cancer care and clinical research, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and innovative pharmacy services. Working across both the Cancer Services Pharmacy and the Investigational Drugs (Clinical Trials) Pharmacy, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Pharmacist in each unit to ensure coordinated and consistent service delivery across these highly specialised areas.In addition to your pivotal role in the implementation and oversight of clinical trials involving cancer therapies and advanced therapeutic products, you will actively contribute to the overall operation and development of the Cancer Services Pharmacy. This includes supporting day-to-day service delivery, clinical governance, and the ongoing optimisation of pharmacy practices that directly impact patient care.You will provide expert guidance to multidisciplinary teams, including clinical trial investigators, research coordinators, nursing, and pharmacy staff, supporting protocol adherence, investigational product management, and the integration of novel therapies into routine care. - Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA with no restrictions and able to practice independently.
- Demonstrated high level skills and advanced knowledge of therapeutics in the areas of oncology, haematology, and advanced therapeutic products, and the ability to apply these skills and knowledge in practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical trials and the role of pharmacy in clinical trials.
- Experience in aseptic manufacturing with a demonstrated understanding of current national standards and regulations for compounding therapeutic substances.
