Carinity Wahroonga is currently looking for dynamic and experience Program Manager to join the team today!Who is Carinity?Carinity is a not-for-profit, values-driven organisation, which has been making a real difference in people’s lives since 1949 through comprehensive and integrated community services including residential aged care, retirement living, home care, schools, disability support, counselling, youth accommodation and chaplaincy in hospitals and prisons.For more information about Carinity, please go to our website https://carinity.org.au/About the roleReporting to the Community Services and Improvement Manager, we are currently seeking a Program Manager to lead the multidisciplinary team of counsellors, psychologists, social workers, and support staff whilst providing professional counselling services for children, young people and their protective caregivers.The Program Manager role is located at Carinity Communities – Wahroonga, this facility provides therapeutic trauma informed services and support for children and young people (up to 17 years old) who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, and domestic and family violence. Therapeutic services are also available for protective care givers, siblings and/or anyone working with a child or young person who has been through these experiences.This position is offered on a part time basis working business hours Monday to Friday; However, full time hours will be considered.Availability required: minimum 4 days per week, 5 days preferred.What do I need for the role?
  • Significant experience in child and family therapy/trauma therapy, particularly with complex families in the area of child abuse, domestic and family violence and youth mental health
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in attachment based and trauma informed child and family therapy.
  • Experience in the management of a counselling service, including the supervision of staff and students.
  • Understanding of issues, needs, special skills and research pertinent to child protection, domestic and family violence, youth suicide prevention and promotion of youth mental health.
