- Lead the project rollout of the Lifting Vinnies' Volunteer Impact in Disaster Recovery initiative, ensuring all activities align with government grant requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate volunteer engagement strategies across key NSW regions (North Coast, Central West, South Coast) by working with local councils, regional teams and community partners.
- Develop and refine onboarding pathways for both formal and informal volunteers, including the use of digital registration and tracking tools.
- Lead and facilitate taskforce and working group meetings, providing structure and direction to disaster recovery planning and delivery.
- Design and deliver training programs that are trauma informed and culturally safe, including simulation activities and “train-the-trainer” models across hybrid and face-to-face formats.
- Support Vinnies' disaster response efforts during activation periods, playing a key coordination and communication role when communities are impacted.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Programs, IT, Engagement) to embed disaster readiness into everyday systems and practices.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, track volunteer competencies and produce timely reports and insights using platforms like Power BI.
- Contribute to long-term sustainability planning, helping document learnings and pathways for embedding disaster recovery practices into core operations.
- Experience managing community or disaster recovery projects
- Strong skills in volunteer coordination, stakeholder engagement and cross-sector collaboration
- A practical understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practices
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regionally
- Comfort working independently and across dispersed teams using digital tools
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Community Development or a related field (or equivalent experience)
