This is your opportunity to play a key role in financial management, supporting the delivery of exceptional healthcare to our communities.About the PositionAs a Senior Financial Accountant, you will manage the Financial Accounting Team and oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements. Working closely with the Manager of Financial Accounting & Reporting, you'll ensure compliance with NSW Ministry of Health standards, statutory obligations, and audit requirements.Your responsibilities will include:Leading the production of monthly and annual financial reports to strict deadlinesEnsuring reconciliation and integrity of the general ledger, including debtors, creditors, accruals, and fixed assetsCoordinating and liaising with external auditors, providing clear and accurate responses to queriesImplementing improvements to reporting systems to enhance efficiency and qualityManaging, mentoring, and developing a high-performing accounting team that embraces change and continuous learningSupporting the development of policies, systems, and procedures across the district.This is a leadership role with both strategic and operational focus, requiring strong technical expertise alongside the ability to build relationships, manage competing priorities, and deliver results.About YouWe are seeking a qualified and experienced financial professional with the ability to thrive in a complex, high-volume environment.
