- Identify opportunities to take our bespoke portfolio capability to institutional investors across the for-purpose sector and to develop the supporting sales strategy, value proposition and execution of targeted sales actions
- Develop and execute a pipeline to align with our annual budgeted revenue. This involves identifying and cultivating prospects, initiating and following up on new opportunities;
- Lead new business meetings and close sales to institutional investors;
- Ensure best practice business development activities including client identification, opportunity origination and solution design.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations
- Engage and collaborate across MMC to develop holistic value propositions
- Collaborate with product teams to develop tailored solutions
- Track and report on sales performance metrics
- Act as a liaison to the investment management groups to ensure active, enthusiastic support of the sales and marketing process.
- Collaborate with Marketing team on sales materials to ensure they are current and focused for the applicable presentation, conference, or opportunity.
- Maintain up- to- date knowledge of industry products, trends, competitors advancements and market conditions
- 5 - 10 years of sales and relationship management experience in Financial Services.
- Experience in managing client relationships and Pipeline. This would include Pipeline discipline and management, account planning, solution design, delivering on marketing initiatives and stakeholder management.
- A deep understanding of how the for- purpose sector evaluates their investment programme
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior management in a distribution environment;
- Excellent sales, interpersonal, project management and multi tasking skills;
- Be a curious self-starter who is passionate about developing client solutions
- Maintain a strong personal brand and be an active participant in industry dialogue.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
- General understanding of financial markets and investment vehicles
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret market trends
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
