We are committed to providing equal opportunity for everyone and welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, experiences, abilities,and life stage.About the roleExclusive opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Minto site to commence asap.You will be working 7am-3pm Monday–Friday (Some OT required occasionally)As a Maintenance Fitter you will be working closely with the maintenance team for preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory. You will also analyze performance issues, develop, and implement strategies for improvement in production and efficiency.Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:

Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory and shutdown maintenance.
Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: welding (MIG, TIG)
Understanding on Condition monitoring and use of maintenance management system SAP.
Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents.

What you bring to the role

Mechanical trade license or similar (Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) that has previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment or similar.
Previous exposure within industrial manufacturing with routine & breakdown experience
Confined spaced & WAH - preferred
Strong safety focus
SAP maintenance system proficiency
First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certifications are desirable
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
