- Assists execution of the safety component of an ESH Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.
- Assists development and implementation of Safety and Health Management Plans, associated plans and procedures, and training program.
- Provides input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups to assure that safety and health requirements are integrated within project planning and execution.
- Interprets safety and health requirements and provides guidance on risk assessment and ESH program execution.
- Researches issues and regulatory requirements and prepares documentation and reports.
- Provides support and guidance for ESH permits, risk assessments and other safety and health reviews.
- Participates in emergency response and incident investigation and resolution.
- Interfaces and communicates with stakeholders and helps resolve their ESH concerns.
- Participates in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conducts ESH inspections and monitoring to identify hazards and risks, evaluate controls and corrective actions, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and Bechtel requirements.
- Degree or Gradate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related science/engineering area related to occupational safety or health and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
- General Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
- Proficiency in assisting construction with development of risk assessments and associated job hazard analysis.
- Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Be solution orientated with effective and efficient time management to deliver a quality product.
- Proficiency in assisting construction with development of risk assessments and associated job hazard analysis.
- Ability to work respectfully in a diverse team environment.
- Previous refinery/chemical/LNG plant construction HSE experience is preferred.
