- Execute compliance assessments of food products against ANZ regulations: raw material, ingredient and finished product specifications, on-pack labelling information, artworks.
- Develop Product Label Specification via PEP specification system in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Engage and collaborate with local R&D to support business for compliance assessment for innovations and import/export.
- Provide regulatory advice to support product / packaging claims; and regulatory approval for advertising materials.
- Identify information gaps and work with cross-functional teams to obtain the necessary information to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements and final regulatory approval.
- Provide all necessary support for any regulatory deficiencies may have.
- Track regulatory developments, run impact assessments and implement new /revised regulatory guidelines and protocols.
- Inform key stakeholders of any upcoming regulatory changes.
- Act as RA lead for data digitization for ANZ foods.
- Represent ANZ RA in key project meetings and technical stage-gate process for foods.
- Participate in regional/sector RA meetings and provide key updates from time-to-time.
- Support ANZ packaging regulatory approvals.
- Develop internal regulatory guides as necessary.
- University degree (food science/technology, nutrition, chemistry, biology)
- Regulatory knowledge of Food Standards Australia New Zealand
- 3-5 years in food/beverage industry
- Experience in product development, food safety/quality or regulatory affairs.
- Very well organized
- Detail oriented and punctual
- Flexible attitude to work, results orientated
- Fluency in written and verbal English
- Proactive, self-starter, Team player
- Extensive knowledge of regulations for food products
- Excellent communication skills (including ability to interpret complex subject matter and summarize requirements, communicate with people of all levels)
