Reporting directly into the Head of People and Culture, your duties will include the following:
  • Ensuring the business is compliant with relevant legislation and regulations across superannuation, tax and employment laws
  • Ensuring payments to staff are correct and timely
  • Educate the team on changes to legislation when required
  • Identify process improvement initiatives and implement them
  • Act as the Payroll Manager as and when required, supporting a team of four staff that process for close to 1500 staff
Candidate ProfileThe successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar senior payroll position that includes the following:
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation with a proactive attitude to stay informed
  • Demonstrated knowledge in conducting and responding to audits
  • Capability to lead remediation / implementation of payroll principles
  • Ability to communicate and provide advice to with executive team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills
