This role will Support the Category Manager with analysis and recommendations, with particular focus on delivering range & merchandising objectives through customer Range Reviews on the Coles Supermarkets account. The role will have end to end ownership of customer range reviews. Range reviews to be constructed to identify category performance issues & opportunities, implement the 4P and category growth pillars tactics, and flawlessly execute PepsiCo initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute Category Review Campaign, supporting Coles Category Manager.
  • Manage end-to-end category range review processes for Salty Snacks, with a leading role on Biscuits and Health Food Aisle.
  • Present insights and recommendations internally and to Coles.
  • Optimize assortment, ranging, space allocation, flow, and adjacencies.
  • Develop customer range and merchandising recommendations for growth.
  • Assess pre /post performance changes, document learnings, and foster retailer relationships.
  • Support PepsiCo Category Strategy by aligning with Coles' needs and objectives.
QualificationsAbout you:Essential Experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of FMCG experience
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing / commerce economics / business (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, ideally from a Sales role
  • Strong analytical skills and use of Nielsen/Aztec systems (scan & panel)
  • Existing category experience either through a category role or via a commercial customer facing sales role that operates a Category Review schedule.
Preferable Experience
  • Experience in using the Coles Synergy/Liquid Data reporting tool to run analysis and reporting.
  • Exposure to Range & Merchandising tools & processes – e.g. Efficient Assortment, Space Analytics / Space Planning (systems capabilities & reporting functionality)
  • Experience within a cross functional, virtual team environment
  • Proven ability to develop good working relationships cross functionally both internally and externally.
