The FirmOur client is a major commercial law firms. Due to growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an experienced insolvency & commercial litigation lawyer with at least 3 years post admission experience.The firm has a blue chip client base of local and international clients, ASX-listed companies, household brand clients, ultra high net worth individuals, government agencies, big 4 banks and other financial institutions.The RoleThe role will see you working on a broad range of disputes. Depending on the size of the matter and your experience, you will be running own matters, having client responsibility, mentoring more junior members of the team. On big ticket, multi-party litigation you will be working as part of a team.A flavour of the work will include:
  • commercial & contractual disputes
  • shareholder oppression
  • corporate litigation
  • disputes involving directors of companies
  • insolvency related litigation
  • bankruptcies, liquidations, receiverships
  • securities enforcement
  • multi-party disputes

  • Have at least 2 years pae in the area of commercial litigation
  • Advantageous would be experience in insolvency litigation
  • Have commercial nous as well as excellent technical skills
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player
  • Have excellent organisation skills and manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A desire to learn and develop your skills
