Extruder Operator

• Comply with WHSE procedures and directions and follow reasonable instructions, always working towards Goal Zero
• Undertake duties safely and contribute to the safety of other through involvement in BOP's, Risk Assessments and Incident Reporting
• Provide relevant licences and permits to supervisor where required
• Contribute to product quality through inspection and testing where specified on Operators Instruction sheets
• Advise Supervisors or Technicians promptly of WHSE, Quality, Maintenance or People issues
• Work effectively to ensure quality productions are produced in a timely manner and in a cost-effective way
• Housekeeping of workstations during shift, with a final clean up at the end of the shift

• Have experience working or want to work in 24/5 and later 24/7 operations
• Have experience working within extrusion blow/injection molding or thermosetting within plastics manufacturing environment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure speed temperature and general operation
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and troubleshoot issues whilst maintaining quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment safely effectively and productively
• Have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment
• Superior communication skills A-Team player with the ability to communicate and connect across all levels at sight

• Plastics or polymer technology and or minimum two years of experience working in plastics extrusion industry will be desirable
