Our client is at the forefront of innovation & product development in the pipeline industry is seeking to appoint an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator that hold a forklift licence. Based in the Melbourne’s western suburbs, they offer a great team environment, 24/5 8 hour shift rostering pattern with shift rotating from day shift, afternoon shift & night shift. Full time hours at casual rates $40.69 - $52.90 dependant of shift. This position offers the opportunity to become a Team Leader after a 6-month period.Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

Extruding pipe to precise measurements & quality standards
Forklift operation
Minimizing downtime
Adjusting
Monitoring
Rectifying problems at the root cause
Minimizing the generation of scrap

Qualifications & Licences Required:

Drivers licence
Forklift licence

Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience controlling a process or operation machinery in a manufacturing environment
Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools
A solid understanding of quality control, safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures
A desire & willingness to learn new skills
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to work a 24/5 rotational shifts.
Strong work ethic, reliable & committed
