About the RoleCentennial is recruiting for a Production Manager to join the Senior Management Team with our northern based operation - Mandalong Mine.This role will effectively oversee the operation of the mine leading the Production team to meet Business Plan objectives in safety, environment, cost, and equipment performance.Working as an effective member of the mine management team to ensure that activities in your area of responsibility are in the overall best interests of the mine. This is done through monitoring the systems and business processes applicable to the role, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods.Conveniently located in the Lake Macquarie region, a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast, this role is an excellent opportunity to work in an Underground Longwall - based mining operation.Reporting to the Mine Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Manage Shift Undermanagers and Engineering Coordinators to support the safe and efficient implementation of the mine plan
Review compliance with the daily plan and ensure corrective actions have taken place
Liaise with other Superintendents to achieve Budgeted Targets
Provide annual input into mine budgeting process
Manage the Production team meetings
Develop effective Communication strategies for the Production team
Establish boundaries of responsibility and accountability for all team members

Suitable candidates will have

Diploma in Underground Coal Mining Management
Current Practising Certificate
10+ years management experience in the mining industry or similar
Risk Management qualifications (G2/G3)
ICAM basics - Accident/Incident Investigation
Certificate IV Leadership & Management
Strong understanding of mine safety and environmental systems
Sound computer literacy skills and geological / geotechnical
Excellent work ethic and attendance record
Commitment to site safety and operational practices
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal suited to multiple audiences
