The company operates in a challenging but exciting environment with major expansion plans, including a substantial increase in retail distribution.The RoleReporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role overseeing the finance function in Australia. You will drive financial strategy, ensure accurate reporting, and deliver efficiencies through automation and process improvements. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in complexity, can work independently, and acts as a true commercial partner to the CEO.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the consolidation and management of the Australian finance function.
- Oversee all financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Partner with the CEO on strategic decision-making and growth planning.
- Drive process efficiency through ERP (SAP B1) optimisation, automation, and tools such as Power BI.
- Present clear, accurate financial data to stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity and cleansing for informed business decisions.
- Mentor and lead a small finance team through transformation and change.
- Energetic, resilient, and resourceful - able to work at speed in a global environment.
- Experienced in financial control within complex, multinational organisations.
- Skilled in ERP systems (SAP B1 preferred) and financial automation.
- Strong communicator who can work with culturally diverse stakeholders, including Chinese ownership.
- Mandarin language skills highly regarded.
- Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to be both direct and supportive.
- Comfortable working full-time onsite in Melbourne.
