The OpportunityTo provide independent and subject matter expertise through a peer review of the draft Climate Vulnerability Assessment Report and associated materials developed under a grant-funded project.ResponsibilitiesPeer Review of Report ContentReview the draft Climate Vulnerability Assessment Report “Climate Emergency Risks for Vulnerable Communities” for: * Technical accuracy of spatial data interpretation and environmental indicators
  • Clarity, consistency, and logical structure of report content
  • Alignment with grant objectives and Council strategies
  • Effectiveness of visual materials (maps, infographics, tables) in communicating findings.
Constructive Feedback & Recommendations
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback on report tone, structure and data presentation.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in analysis, interpretation, or literature references.
  • Suggest enhancements to improve readability and accessibility for non-technical audiences.
Review of Supporting Materials
  • Assess the relevance and quality of accompanying spatial products (e.g., maps, overlays).
  • Ensure strong alignment between data analysis, conclusions, and literature.
  • Confirm compliance with reporting expectations of the grant funding body.
Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical review, report editing, or subject matter peer review.
  • Familiarity with spatial data products and principles of climate risk communication.
  • Prior experience with grant-funded projects or local government settings is highly regarded.
