Join a purpose-driven community where you can contribute to a brighter future and be part of meaningful change.About the Role:This 6 –month contract with the possibility to extend will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Assistant Accountant, who will report directly to the Accountant.Duties include but are not limited to:

Preparing and submitting daily bank account reconciliations for review and approval
Preparing Monthly BAS for ATO submission
Performing and preparing end-of-month Balance Sheet reconciliations
Processing general, fixed, and variable journals
Monitoring monthly prepayments
Overseeing EFTPOS terminal applications, activations, and terminations
Assisting in budget preparation and forecasting processes
Supporting the implementation of new systems and processes
Writing clear, concise, and well-structured internal and external communications
Meeting agreed KPIs for the role
Ensuring procedures are kept up to date for all assigned duties
Providing relief for finance team members during periods of leave

About You:

Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Great attention to detail
Experience within the NFP industry (beneficial)
Good open and positive mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software programs
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
