They are committed to representing the interests of their members and play an integral role in shaping the future of the motor industry.Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic influencer, one who is highly respected amongst the auto repair sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in monitoring industry developments, building strategic relationships, and providing valuable insights to shape the division's strategies and initiatives. Additionally, they will be instrumental in growing membership by being the trusted voice of the motor industry.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders including industry partners, government agencies, and relevant organisations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform the development of divisional strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute engagement plans aimed at enhancing industry relationships and promoting the interests of members.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and forums, effectively communicating the vision and advocating for all members.
  • Develop and implement membership growth strategies, leveraging industry insights and relationships to attract new members and retain existing ones.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to members, providing guidance, support, and resources to help them navigate industry challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop content and messaging that positions the organisation as the leading authority in the motor industry.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of industry dynamics, trends, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management and partnership development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
