- Preparing and presenting vibrant, authentic Mexican dishes with consistency and flair
- Supporting the smooth running of your section while maintaining high food quality and standards
- Monitoring food quality, minimising wastage and ensuring compliance with HACCAP and food safety standards
- Assist with training and mentoring of upcoming chefs to help building a strong and talented team
- Contribute to a positive and motivated culture through clear communication and collaboration
- Promoting safe work practices and maintaining efficiency across the kitchen
- Keep up to date with current food trends
- Ability to independently manager the food offering, working with initiative and minimal supervision to ensure smooth operations.
- Experience working in Mexican cuisine is essential
- Qualified with a minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
- Food Safety Hygiene qualification
- Familiarity with the Food Safety Act and WHS legislation
- Time Management skills is a must
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and confident under pressure
