We're always looking for better ways to deliver for our customers - and for our people.ABOUT THE ROLEJoin Origin's innovative Digital and Information Systems (DIS) team, dedicated to harnessing digital technologies for sustainable energy solutions.As the Lead Application Developer, you'll drive the design, development, and technical management of our digital product suite, shaping the future of our business. In this role, you'll champion application development within Integrated Gas (IG), setting standards, refining processes, mentoring team members, and enhancing overall efficiency. Collaborating across agile product squads and IT teams, you'll deliver cutting-edge solutions to support our business objectives.More about the role:

Lead application development initiatives for IG, providing guidance and support across multiple environments and disciplines.
Drive improvements and enhancements through innovative techniques and technologies, while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Champion the implementation of automation tools to streamline operational processes, in close collaboration with stakeholders.
Design and standardize application architecture patterns, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Provide advanced technical guidance and support for a suite of Digital products, resolving incidents and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

ABOUT YOUThe ideal candidate for this role possesses a bachelor's degree in business or IT, or an equivalent qualification. They have also obtained AWS certifications and have extensive experience working with AWS cloud technologies. Proficiency in React/Redux is key, with a specific focus on test-driven development methodologies.More about you:

Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jira, and Azure DevOps/GitHub Enterprise.
Expertise in serverless application/API development leveraging AWS Lambda.
UI/UX experience in a commercial environment, driving user-centric design.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas.
Solid understanding of RDBMS principles, SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python and Java NodeJS
