We are currently recruiting for multiple Project Manager's (Capital Works) for our client, a Local Council based in Sydney. This is an initial contract until September 2026 with a pay rate of $74-95 per hour + super ($84.00 - $106.40 per hour ABN) for 38 hours per week. WFH/Flexible working TBC.Key Accountabilities
  • Project Manage the initiation, design and implementation of a wide range of projects, including those projects in forward planning, to a high standard.
  • Develop technical requirements for request for quotations or tenders (RFQ or RFT) on reviewing of specifications and drawings for inclusion with documentation..
  • Provide technical advice on assigned projects including managing and acting as chairperson of Project control groups.
  • Manage the construction delivery of assigned projects via external contractors and service providers.
  • Managed delivery of assigned projects from design completion stage to construction completion and handover to Asset partner/s.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience
  • Previous experience of Local Government projects (client-side) is preferrable but would consider candidates from State Government or private sector
  • Previous experience of Civil (Roads, Stormwater etc) would be preferrable but candidates with Open space, Public Domain, Building and Landscape Capital Works projects would also be considered
  • Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar
