- Full-time (35 hours per week)
- Manage and coordinate the operational work of the Science Education Team (SET) relating to Teaching/Academic Administrative Support and Systems and Student Engagement/Experience services on behalf of the Faculty of Science.
- Design, manage, and deliver the implementation of new initiatives, including communication plans to engage relevant stakeholders across the Faculty and UNSW.
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of student and academic support services across UNSW Science during and following the transition to the new Student Support Services operating model.
- Act as the Faculty and Schools' primary liaison point for all activities, correspondence and communication regarding systems that support teaching administration including being the Faculty of Science representative on relevant committees and workshops.
- Develop and deliver quality reporting information, feedback and evaluation as required by internal stakeholders in Schools, particularly to support the Deputy Dean (Education).
- Provide high-level policy and strategic advice to the Deputy and Associate Deans, and to the Faculty and School teaching committees.
- Act as the Manager of the Science Learning and Teaching Unit when the Manager is on leave or unable to attend important meetings.
- Other duties and project work within the Educational portfolio as directed and commensurate with the level of the role.

- Ensure hazards and risks psychosocial and physical are identified and controlled for tasks, projects, and activities that pose a health and safety risk within your area of responsibility.
(Selection criteria)To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant degree with extensive relevant experience, or equivalent competency gained through any other combination of education, training or experience in a higher education organisation.
- Well-developed leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff through transition and change.
- Demonstrated experience in driving innovation and process improvement initiatives in a complex environment.
- Highly developed project management skills with demonstrated experience coordinating the design and delivery of project engagement and implementation requirements.
- Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to gather data and information from varied sources to establish trends and make recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of people. An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
