Are you an experienced Accounts Officer looking for a role where you can take ownership, work closely with the business, and be part of a growing finance team? This is a newly created position, offering stability, variety, and the opportunity to make a real impact.About the RoleReporting to the Accounts Manager, you'll be responsible for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, supporting a busy and fast paced team.This is a hands-on role where you'll manage the end-to-end account's function, liaise with suppliers and customers, and play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable
  • Process supplier invoices, checking accuracy against delivery dockets, quotes, and approvals
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure invoices are paid on time, avoiding late fees and interest charges
  • Manage new supplier set-ups and maintain accurate records
Accounts Receivable
  • Follow up on outstanding payments, sending reminders and conducting collection calls
  • Issue monthly customer statements and maintain detailed follow-up notes
  • Manage customer onboarding and account set-ups
  • Resolve customer queries relating to invoices, hire periods, and disputes
What We're Looking For
  • Solid experience using MYOB (non-negotiable)
  • Strong communication skills - confident liaising with blue-collar staff, suppliers, and customers
  • Resilient, proactive, and not afraid to pick up the phone to resolve issues or chase payments
  • Industry experience in construction, building, or manufacturing is highly regarded
  • Strong Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Comfortable with manual reconciliations, data entry, and paperwork
