The role will be based in our Chatswood office in Sydney.As the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will ensure all HR deliverables are met whilst delivering effective, high quality and accurate HR/ER/IR advice to people managers and employees within the project.You will work with a team of driven and professional colleagues who encourage, support and deliver optimum results.About the role
  • Support the General Manager Engineering with developing and delivering people initiatives that drive business strategic objectives particularly cultural alignment, talent management and employee engagement across the breadth of the engineering function.
  • Act as a leadership coach and advisor for members of the engineering leadership team
  • Lead the full range of generalist HR services and support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead the annual program of remuneration reviews, talent and succession planning and employee performance planning processes in line with UGL calendars and processes. Ensuring the business is supported with guidance and compliance as well as analyzing results to ascertain trends, plans and priorities.
  • Lead, participate and review all employee case investigations including complex cases, reportable conduct, psychosocial safety, workplace rights and terminations.

  • 7+ years proven experience, in a Senior HR Business Partner role & within a similar environment
  • Experience in transport, engineering, construction or mining industry
  • A proven track record in developing effective HR and organisational development solutions at a business level.
  • Exceptional influencing and relationship management skills including senior levels of management, with experience in coaching and engaging diverse teams.
  • The ability to drive change and innovation, with the capability in translating customer requirements into improved offerings.
  • Good understanding of contemporary HR processes, methodologies and tools, and Australian legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development, talent and succession planning, remuneration, and performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR / IR or a related discipline
  • Results/goal driven work experience and focus
  • Experience managing key internal and external stakeholders, including being a key interface with the client
  • Proactively seek to continuously improve performance, deliverables, and work efficiencies.
