This contract position has arisen due to the need to focus on system optimisation and process improvement. You'll work closely with the existing P&C Advisor who will onboard and support you.You’ll be responsible for the administration and coordination of a range of human resources activities. This includes providing assistance with a wide range of general human resource matters such as industrial and employee relations, performance management, process improvement and employee engagement.Other responsibilities include:
- Oversee the full administration of the HRIS, including all employee lifecycle activities
- Manage employee inquiries and provide support and advice to line managers on recruitment, policies, procedures, and HRIS processes
- Ensure compliance with probity and working rights requirements
- Assist the P&C team with ad hoc tasks, including reporting.
- 3 or 4 days (or 22.5 / 30 hours) a week
- 6 month contract

- Based at Macquarie Park on Wednesdays

- Ideally, you’ll have prior experience in a generalist HR Officer or Administrator role, or strong administrative skills with a desire to transition into HR.
- An understanding of HR functions and best practices, including ability to interpret policies and procedures, legislation, Enterprise Agreements and provide advice is ideal
- Experience with HRIS systems, including managing the employee lifecycle, or strong familiarity with working with databases.
- A keen eye for detail, outstanding organisational skills, and a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust your approach to suit different audiences.
