Job Description:The CompanyRobert Half is currently recruiting for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join a well-established and growing privately owned organisation based in Craigieburn on a 10-week temporary contract.Our client is a leading supply company to Australia and New Zealand industry offering a dynamic work environment. You will be joining a supportive and high performing team, in a business has won numerous awards & prides itself on its inclusive culture.This is a full-time position, offered on a 10-week temporary contract to cover a period of leave. Parking is available on-site and an immediate start is required.The RoleWorking closely with an excellent Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll for 500 employees, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and to a high level of accuracy. Your duties will include:

Maintenance of employee records, data entry for starters, leavers and other employee changes.
Asist in calculation of termination pays
Complete payroll reporting as required
Assist in ensuring that all month end payroll functions are completed including, processing and posting all payroll journals to general ledger, reconciliation of payroll accounts, superannuation payments, PAYG, child support.

Your Skills & Experience

Previous payroll processing experience spanning at least 12 months, demonstrating knowledge or payroll entitlement calculations, including leave and termination/redundancy calculations
Systems savvy with and intermediate level of MS Excel.
Strong communication skills to maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You will need to be available to start immediately (maximum 1 week notice).
