The new division will offer transaction and savings accounts designed to provide tailored functionality and features to help small business owners and consumers manage their finances 'on-the-go' from their mobile phones.For us, these are exciting times launching a new initiative for AMP Bank that will position us to support Australia's growing number of small businesses with their banking needs and further deliver on our purpose, helping people to create their tomorrow.How you'll make an impactYou will be helping us in creating a new digital bank by providing legal advice, guidance, and support to the new division. Your understanding of the banking regulatory environment and your commercial insights will help ensure the new division operates within its Risk appetite and makes informed decisions which enable it to develop at pace and scale quickly.
  • Proving legal advice and support to senior management and business areas relevant to ADIs, banking and bank products
  • Helping align outcomes sought with the obligations - the new division is thinking differently and that requires legal support.
  • Supporting the development of new banking products, in particular;
  • Ensuring legal considerations are integrated into business decisions, including design and delivery of new products
  • Helping design new digital onboarding journey
  • Drafting customer communications, TMDs and terms and conditions.
What you will bring to the team
  • Previous experience working in a heavily regulated industry, ideally in banking services
  • At least 8 years post qualified experience gained in private practice and/or in house
  • In depth understanding of the obligations applicable to ADIs and related risks
