Our client is looking for a Palliative Care Staff Specialist to join the team on a permanent full time basis.The Role
As a consultant physician, you will be enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families who are facing challenges associated with life-limiting illnesses. Our clients approach involves the early identification and treatment of pain and other physical, psychological, and spiritual issues, focusing on preventing and alleviating suffering.The unit extends its palliative care support to inpatients, conducts outpatient clinics, and operates a community program that assists patients and their caregivers within a 45km radius of the hospital. For specialized palliative care support in nearby regions, we collaborate with the Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth Service (SPaRTa) team based at the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team within the specialist palliative care unit provides holistic and coordinated care, working closely with other healthcare professionals.The Location

This is a large regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 120,000. The local area has a developed infrastructure including great private schools, shopping, restaurants and the beautiful natural tropical surrounds.The Requirements
To apply you must either be:
- Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent clinical experience
- Specialist Medical Practitioner (FRACP) with extensive experience in Palliative Medicine
- a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (AChPM)
- IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
