Provide practical support to assist tenants in maintaining their households and work to reduce barriers that impact stable homes
Create a case plan with tenants, community and stakeholders to address their tenancy needs while navigating the complexities that impact tenancies to create a long-term change
Adapt your support to the tenants and household needs, leading with a strengths-based holistic approach
Be flexible in your case management to achieve targeted outcomes while building empowerment for tenants and householders
Create links and relationships with the community and local service providers to best support your tenants
Prevent people from reaching a crisis situation
As a Tenancy Support Officer, you will be an excellent communicator and someone who is confident in their ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds. You will focus on understanding different point of views, are capable of asking for further information if required and clarifying as needed. Your ability to understand and listen to differing ideas will help provide understanding and the potential for any improvements required. You will enjoy working collaboratively as you share information with your team and will have an interest in working towards agreed priorities to achieve the relevant outcomes. As a forward-thinking individual, you will also be required to anticipate any issues that could impact tasks and identify risks that could occur for yourself and the team.
