Our client is a leading commercial and industrial property organisation, located in the heart of Melbourne CBD. They are extremely well known in the industry and aim to provide outstanding service to all their clients. Due to an expansion in business operations, they are seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing finance team.The Role
Reporting to the CFO & Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure accurate preparation / reporting of monthly financial results in strict accordance with company deadlines.
- Taking ownership for the Preparation of Monthly Consolidated Board Pack / Management Reports.
- Providing financial analysis of the group portfolios through business drivers and writing clear, insightful and concise commentary to compliment the dashboard for the Groups.
- Ensure cash flow is adequate for each entity and arrange inter-company cash transfers as and when required.
- Offering insight to continuous process improvements.
- Check and posting of all inter-entity loans journals.
- Post monthly Market Value Movement journals for shares and management funds.
- Update Term Deposit Register and manage monthly Term Deposit maturities and interest rollover postings.
- Prepare and update investment schedules.
- Set up of internal investment distributions based on several investor % splits and seek authorisation for the release of funds in a timely manner.
- Updating Share Portfolio Register and maintaining graph data.
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree and have aspirations to complete or be part way through your CA / CPA. You will have 3+ years professional experience in a similar role and ideally from a professional services firm. You will have experience working within a tax environment and have a strong understanding of the current tax legislation. The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships is a must.
