
Payroll Officer

- End to End Payroll + Support the other finance team members

- Manage the payroll inbox and respond to emails promptly
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain employee records and handle onboarding documentation
- Ensure compliance with PAYG Tax, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other obligations
- Assist employees with leave entitlements including annual leave, sick leave, long service leave, and rostered days off
- Resolve payroll-related queries and errors
- Reconcile and report on employee loans weekly and monthly
- Administer child support deductions and payments
- Lodge income protection claims and manage related deductions
- Process monthly union fee payments and deductions
- Manage Workcover claims and ensure accurate payroll processing with documentation
- Complete monthly payroll-related general ledger reconciliations for audit purposes
- Assist with accounts payable tasks including reimbursements and prompt payments
- Manage finance-related inboxes and respond to queries in a timely manner
- Maintain the motor vehicle registration register including renewals and cancellations
- Handle fines related to company vehicles
- Prepare and process monthly adjusting general ledger entries
- Support the Finance and Administration Manager with audit and operational queries
- Prepare monthly fuel allocation journals and calculate fuel tax credits as required
- You have solid experience in end-to-end payroll and understand the importance of getting it right
- You're detail-oriented and take pride in delivering accurate, timely work
- You communicate clearly and professionally when resolving queries
- You're organised and stay calm when managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- You're confident working with systems and navigating payroll processes
- You thrive in a team environment and enjoy contributing to a positive workplace
- You're available to work on-site five days a week and value being part of an in-person team
- You're flexible with start times and open to finding a routine that works for you and the business
- Full-time, on-site role in West Melbourne with a Monday to Friday schedule
- Competitive salary between $80,000 and $85,000 plus superannuation
