In this role you will ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors, responding to incidents, de-escalating challenging situations, and collaborating closely with healthcare teams and NSW Police when needed.You'll support frontline healthcare professionals by responding to alarms, supervising key areas, and carrying out essential duties that keep our hospital running smoothly. - Experience in the security industry as Security Officer is desirable.
- Demonstrated skills to manage aggressive incidents, challenging behaviours and respond to duress situations
- Provide general assistance, including moving equipment and patients (in line with WHS principles), to ensure smooth running of the facility
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and take directions from clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of staff, as well as patients/clients and members of the public. Sound understanding of the application of security techniques including conflict resolution skills, de-escalation and restraint practices.
- Participation in a 7 day rotating roster that includes weekends, public and school holidays, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
