- The Bid Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management to bids through the full Opportunity and Bid Management lifecycle to retain and win business in line with the Downer PipeTech business strategy.
- As the Bid Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining existing clients, identifying, and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and contributing to the growth and expansion of this business.
- You will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team
- Lead and motivate a team of staff, nurturing a positive work environment, set clear goals and objectives to ensure alignment with overall company objectives and strategies
- Preparing and reviewing tender schedules and bid approval documentation
- Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies and procedures throughout the pre-contract phase

- Tertiary Qualification or equivalent significant relevant industry experience
- Potable Water / Wastewater experience desirable
- Understanding of the various procurement methods employed by clients and the impact of these methods on tender strategy
- Work with a high degree of confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgement, appropriate to the position
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proven business writing experience, preferably for tender, bid of business development projects
