The Role & ProjectAs a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in North West Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.MACA is seeking a Tyre Fitter/Serviceperson with Civil experience to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.Locals in North West Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis. Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate's location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Competent to remove and re/fit rims and wheel assemblies, perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust, and report to supervisor
Assist with general maintenance and servicing assisting of mobile plant and equipment in a safe, efficient and productive manner
Monitor plant and equipment condition to ensure correct operation
Check and maintain correct fluid and oil levels on machinery
Collecting of data relating to machine oil/fuel consumption
Effectively work and communicate with other team members to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
Must have a “Can Do” attitude and safety conscious at all times

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
Minimum of 12 months experience working as a Tyre Fitter working on Heavy Mining Equipment
White Card.
Australian HR Driver's Licence
