- Manage project readiness activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact
- Provide discipline expertise and project management discipline to all project stages on behalf of the business owner, to identify preparatory activities that safely deliver effective systems of work, competent people and reliable assets (including associated NPI assets)
- Contribute to the Operational Readiness Plan, schedule and budget throughout all stages of the project
- Support the project readiness program with all mining discipline related projects handed over so operations meet ramp up and planned sale ore product (SOP) and total material movement (TMM) extraction rates
- Provide input on equipment selection and functionality
- Develop business case to justify any project inclusions or omissions improving project outcomes
- Conduct project readiness reviews to identify risks and constraints – lead mitigation efforts where required
- Use the life of mine, five-year plan and quarterly plan to provide clear and concise direction for key stakeholders
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Demonstrated experience in a site leadership role in surface mining operations
- Proven ability in safety leadership in the mining or relevant industry
- Strong understanding of surface mining approaches, systems and processes
- Experience in fixed plant operations or process engineering preferred
- Understanding of RTIO Management of Change (MoC) system
- Knowledge of project management and project site activities
- Exposure to risk management and business improvement methodologies
- Well-developed people influencing, engagement and communication skills
- Capability to write conclusive reports and create documents presenting requirements and developed plans, strategies and approaches
