Performance Scientist - Australian Sailing

- 3+ years' experience in the provision and application of sports science services, with proven experience interacting with high performance coaches and athletes and an understanding of the high performance sport environment, including modern coaching theory and its application to training
- Proven success in utilising physiological and sport science knowledge for planning, periodising and managing athletes across seasons/campaigns at senior national or international level, and an understanding of current trends, technological advances and practices sport science and coaching
- Proven experience in planning and monitoring athletic performance to achieve performance progression
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a multi-disciplinary/sport team environment with high performance support staff, coaches and athletes
- Experience in operating and managing quality control and quality assurance programs to meet laboratory compliance standards
- Proven ability to analyse data, interpret results and produce reports for influencing athletic training programs and the capacity to communicate this in a coach and athlete-friendly manner
- Experience using sport-specific computer programs and training monitoring software platforms
- Min 3+ years fulltime experience in the provision and application of sport science services and proven experience interacting with high performance coaches.
- Undergraduate degree with Honours in Exercise, Health, Movement and/or Sport Science
- ESSA Sport Scientist Level 1
