
Safety, Health & Wellbeing & Compliance Manager

- Provide expert advice on operational and transport compliance, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and load restraint
- Conduct safety audits, ICAM investigations, and risk assessments, and ensure the site risk register is up to date
- Implement proactive safety and compliance initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and motor vehicle accidents
- Lead toolbox talks and support monthly safety committee meetings, bringing Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) along the journey
- Develop and enforce corrective action plans in collaboration with site leadership
- Support the development and implementation of site-specific training plans and ensure training records are maintained
- Engage with customers and subcontractors to drive safer outcomes and more effective delivery points
- Ensure contractor compliance, manage Permit to Work processes, and maintain audit readiness
- Actively support Return to Work (RTW) and injury management programs
- Strong experience in road transport compliance and safety management systems
- A minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) (tertiary qualifications highly regarded)
- In-depth understanding of WHS legislation, CoR, and risk management principles
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigations (ICAM preferred)
- Ability to build strong relationships and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop and implement training and compliance programs
- Strong communication, organisation, and influencing skills
