
Assistant Vineyard Manager

- Coordinating and implementing weekly and monthly vineyard work programs
- Supporting business planning and execute site strategies and objectives
- Drive innovation by integrating viticulture best practices into daily operations
- Assisting in preparing and managing capital projects and budgets
- Monitoring and controlling vineyard expenses to ensure cost efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and fruit quality
- Recruiting, training, and supporting seasonal and operational vineyard staff
- Developing and mentoring the vineyard supervisory team to build decision-making capability
- Upholding and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations
- Ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and company policies, including injury management
- Tertiary qualifications in Viticulture or a closely related field
- Extensive leadership experience in viticulture or a related business
- Strong commercial acumen and human resource management skills
- Excellent communication skills to communicate across a diverse business via written, verbal, and interpersonal methods
- A strong adopter of systems and processes at scale
- Proficient across the Microsoft Office suite (additional exposure to systems such as AgCode are a plus)
- Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and workplace training & assessment
