We are bold, imaginative, respectful, and compassionate in everything we do.About the RoleUniting is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team and support the upkeep of our aged care and retirement living services. This full-time, Monday to Friday role (38 hours per week) offers stability, a competitive hourly rate, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our communities.You will be responsible for the maintenance of buildings, property, plant, and equipment to ensure a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with WHS standards and organisational requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with empathy and respect.
  • Support the delivery of safe and high-quality aged care services through proactive property and asset management.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS and building-related legislation.
  • Trade background preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer literacy and organisational skills.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
Even Better:
  • Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role, preferably in an aged care /Retirement living setting
  • Detailed knowledge of the application use of CMMS (Computerised maintenance management system) training can be provided.
