- Provide expert leadership, clinical advice, consultancy services, care planning, education to health care professionals patients and families
- Deliver high quality service, practicing as a member of the multidisciplinary team in pain management that includes chronic and acute pain ranging from pre operative and post operative pain management to procedural pain, trauma and disease related pain, predominantly within the perioperative and inpatient setting.
- Act as a resource to other health care professionals and services to enhance capability, knowledge and delivery of pain management services including pain assessment and management strategies.
- Develop specialised education resources for pain management for patients and their families.

- Current Authority to Practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience including 3 years' experience in the specialty and post graduate qualifications relevant to the specialty
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written, interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict and advanced information technology skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team whilst prioritising and managing own workload.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated extensive clinical expertise and clinical leadership in chronic and acute pain management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify education needs and develop education plans and resource material for patients/clients and health care professionals.
- Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes including occasional long distances and overnight stays.
