About the Hospital and Mental Health ServiceIn your new role, you'll be part of a progressive and evolving health service dedicated to meeting the current and future mental health needs of individuals and families across the Sunshine Coast, including the communities of Caloundra, Nambour, Maleny, and Gympie.As the successful applicant, you’ll join a large tertiary hospital renowned for its innovation, commitment to teaching, and strong focus on career development. Serving a population of approximately 460,000 people, the hospital delivers comprehensive public health services and works in close collaboration with the Sunshine Coast Health Institute to implement forward-thinking initiatives that enhance health and wellbeing across the region.Mental health care is a core component of the hospital’s service offering. Specialised multidisciplinary teams deliver treatment and support across both inpatient and community settings. These services include the 1300 MH Call line, adult acute care, addiction services, child and youth mental health, consultation liaison, continuing care, cultural healing, eating disorder services, community mental health, homeless outreach, older persons mental health, and rehabilitation services.About the roleIn this role, you will deliver best-practice, person-centred clinical care to psychiatric patients aged 18 to 65. You will also take on a leadership role within the department and multidisciplinary team, guiding clinical practice and supporting collaborative care. Key responsibilities include reviewing and enhancing care processes, coordinating with other units and external service providers, actively participating in clinical governance activities, and contributing to the supervision, training, and professional development of junior doctors and medical staff.Relocating to Australia?
