
Craft Supervisor - Piping

- Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for Piping personnel and complete performance evaluations on direct reports.
- Provide leadership for safety, accident and fire prevention on the project. This includes safety orientation, preparation of safety procedures and leading Bechtel and subcontractor safety meetings.
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
- Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned piping operations.
- Other responsibilities as designated.
- Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change is desirable.
- 8-10 years' experience in similar role within the Heavy Industrial Field.
- Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating sub-contractors
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience
- Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
