The OpportunityWe have an opportunity for a Director level consultant in Sydney, with deep expertise in legal transformation consulting within the private equity and telecommunications industries.In-house legal functions are proactively seeking to improve their operating models and legal technology to align with broader business and market transformation initiatives. These business transformations are increasingly digitally focused and require continuous progression. In-house legal teams are looking to ensure they are ideally positioned and technologically enabled to deliver for their stakeholders and businesses.As a Director, you will work alongside General Counsels, CEOs and CFOs to assess their in-house legal functions including their capability, process and technology strategies, and establish a successful future state operating model. This advice should focus on outpacing change and may include the implementation of new contracting models and legal technology to make significant improvement to their processes and service offerings. Leveraging partnerships with technology vendors is also critical, for example, to run the Request For Proposal, implementation, and change management processes with our clients.You will be responsible for delivering impactful and profitable market facing initiatives and client engagements, whilst developing expertise and an inspiring team experience around you. This includes winning work, facilitating client workshops, designing delivery and implementation strategies, managing client relationships, delivering profitable work, and coaching teams.Please review the job description attached to the role on our careers page for more detail on the role and what we can offer you -About you
  • You are an experienced consultant with demonstrated capability and expertise in advising in-house legal team on legal department and legal technology transformation. Experience working with the private equity and telecommunications industries in Australia is essential.
  • You have proven experience in bringing high quality value to clients through advising on contract management and transformation initiatives, including the redesign of processes and the implementation of new technology.
  • You have strong knowledge of the leading legal technology products and vendors in the market, and how they can be utilised by clients to improve processes and efficiency. Experience working with a legal technology vendor would be highly desirable.
  • You have proven experience building a profitable and successful business through creating, fostering and developing client relationships.
  • You're passionate about collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team and have experience managing multiple projects throughout their entire engagement lifecycle, including experience with proposals, pre-engagement activities, producing high quality deliverables, conducting stakeholder workshops, issuing final reports and billing.
