
CNC Machinist

- Review and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to plan machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls (Mastercam experience highly regarded).
- Prepare and machine allocated material to specification.
- Optimise machine run cycles to improve tool efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Verify first-run parts, checking against specifications and adjusting as required.
- Maintain machines through preventive maintenance.
- Support production goals by managing multiple jobs and shifting priorities as needed.
- Liaise with other departments to provide technical support.
- Assist with design, engineering, fitting, and assembly tasks.
- Contribute to projects involving hazardous composite materials when required.
- Proven CNC machining experience with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of engineering plans, drawings, and 3D models.
- Mastercam programming skills (desirable).
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work across different machines/projects.
