With your skills and experience, you can help enrich the lives of millions while developing your career within Australia's largest health organisation-alongside passionate tech professionals, health partners and industry leaders building solutions that truly make a difference.About the OpportunityThis Digital Specialist- Health role is within the Clinical Health Information Exchange (CHIE) team, part of the Clinical Repositories and Integration Systems directorate of Service Delivery.The CHIE is a patient centric clinical repository supporting transfers and continuity of care across NSW healthcare settings (public and private). The CHIE receives, stores, and displays patient information from multiple electronic medical record systems (eMRs) in a single unified view allowing clinicians timely access to relevant aggregated clinical information to enable immediate clinical care.As a Digital Specialist- Health for the CHIE, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, reliability, stability, and performance of the CHIE:
- Driving and delivering functional, technical, and application support, forging strong partnerships across teams to enable collaboration and improve healthcare delivery
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups (eHealth teams, contributor system clinicians and IT professionals, and vendors) to identify and clarify challenges, and co-design solutions that directly enhance patient and clinician outcomes
- Engineering, optimising, and maintaining complex, large-scale applications, ensuring performance, interoperability, and usability while communicating clearly through documentation and updates
- Resolving and orchestrating responses to complex incidents, managing critical situations swiftly to minimise disruptions to essential health services.
- Championing innovation by researching emerging technologies, designing learning resources, and driving continuous improvements that empower Digital Specialists and support frontline healthcare workers
- Facilitating troubleshooting and validation to support streamlined issue resolution and change implementation
- Has proven experience in clinical or digital health solutions, preferably in a shared services or clinical environment.
